Health and Safety is a top priority for every business, and rightly so. Business Cleaning Services is no exception and we are fully committed to Health and Safety at work.

 

Office and commercial cleaning in particular poses a concern for many of our clients. We’ve all seen the television adverts for injury claims.

 

The HSE’s website states:

 

“Key causes of accidents are slips and trips, manual handling and falls from height. The main health risks are back injuries and occupational dermatitis. See links below for further details.”  *

Cleaning services can present many of the above-mentioned risks from wet floors, trailing cables, lifting equipment and stock, cleaning windows, and of course use and storage of chemicals.

 

At BCS, we take a robust and straight forward approach to Health and Safety at work, and to the application of H&S within the cleaning services that we deliver. Keeping our staff, customer staff and members of the public safe is a crucial part of what we do.

 

Method statements, risk assessments and COSHH assessments are provided for each and every contract that we operate, and training and safe-working systems implemented.

 

BCS systems and control-measures naturally include PAT testing, PPE, training and monitoring, and of course colour-coding to both help avoid cross contamination and to promote good site hygiene.
